８月２日、舞鶴リーグ主催の「日本海カップ」に参加した。
関西だけでなく、東海、中国連盟からもチームを招いて、ほとんどのチームが舞鶴に宿泊しての大会。

昨年から参加させて頂いているが、初日負ければ、翌日が「海水浴」という、子供たちにとっては豪華な（？）大会である。

１ゲーム目は「奈良リーグ」が相手
序盤に得点を重ねられ、３回を終わって２点ビハインド・・
４回の表に連打で逆転し、最終回に１点を加点して辛くも逃げ切った・・

１ゲーム目とは、うって変わって初回から先制パンチ！
得点を許すも、打力で勝り、４回コールドで勝負を決めた・・

２４チームが、６ブロックに分かれての大会、各ブロックから得失点差などのルールで２日目の「決勝トーナメント」に進めるのだが、失点が多く決勝トーナメントへは進めなかった。
そのおかけで・・
２日目は海水浴を楽しんだ。
舞鶴の海、まさしく「日本海」カップであった。
